Women of the ELCA took three more awards at the 2016 Associated Church Press convention awards ceremony in St. Louis, Missouri, on April 22.
Last month Women of the ELCA took three DeRose-Hinkhouse awards March 31 at the Religion Communicators Council convention in New York City.
In St. Louis, Café (boldcafe.org) won an award of excellence in the online/new media: podcasts category and an honorable mention for electronic newsletter. Elizabeth McBride is editor of Café and director for intergenerational programming for Women of the ELCA.
Gather won an award of merit in the reporting and writing: personally useful article category for “All of God’s People” by Sandra D’Amico, with Elizabeth Hunter as editor.
Last month in New York City, Elizabeth McBride won an award of merit for Café’s podcasts in the digital communication category.
In the public relations/advertising campaign/display or exhibit, Elizabeth McBride, Terri Lackey and Linda Post Bushkofsky won an award of excellence for the human trafficking exhibit at the 2015 ELCA Youth Gathering.
In the periodicals, single issue/national magazine category, Elizabeth Hunter won an award of excellence for Gather.
