Do not covet, says the 9th and 10th commandments.
Look around. What owns you rather than the other way around? These days, instant gratification is the norm. If an item is no longer available for sale in your local shop, you can go online, find it and have it delivered to your door within 24 hours, whether you need it or not.
There is a magazine titled Going Without. It’s for people who must eliminate certain foods from their diet. What if we applied this to all the things in life we really didn’t need? What if we chose to do without not only negative influences but things we just didn’t need? With the money we save, we could maybe have a little nest egg and even share some of it with others.
