During this Lenten season, we are reminded of our continued calling to respond in faith and service to the love of Christ. To be a true leader begins with living as a true servant, adhering to the examples Jesus laid before us during his ministry. Through our Lenten journey, we share the good news of forgiveness and hope, carrying out our calling as Christians to be both servants and leaders.
And as disciples created in God’s image, we must recognize, in this season and all others, our capacity for leadership and our commitment to support those around us who have accepted leadership roles for the sake and mission of Women of the ELCA.
This message was taken from “Respond in faith and service,” a devotion written by Emily Hansen. Through Saturday, Women of the ELCA conducts its Pivot Don’t Panic online meeting with synodical women’s organization leaders. Please pray for a productive meeting.
