We have God’s gift of hope. We have seen in Christ the vision of what our loving creator wills for us all. We live in between what God has already done and what is not yet complete. In our baptism we have experienced Christ’s resurrection. We have experienced nourishment and refreshment as the living Christ comes to us and among us in words and sacrament and community. But these are only foretastes of what is yet to come. The complete vision will be God’s surprise.
