God’s grace and presence

1.3.2021

Daily Grace

I value Women of the ELCA because of our shared mission, purpose, and community. The organization is important to me because we accomplish amazing ministry together, in the name of Jesus. Within it, I find community—a community of like-minded women of all ages who walk together on their faith journeys. Thanks to Women of the ELCA, lives are changed, including our own.

The global coronavirus pandemic brought many changes to our world in 2020, including our inability to gather in person. Offerings that support Women of the ELCA are almost always collected when we meet in person. You might not realize how critical those offerings are to the operation of the churchwide expression of Women of the ELCA.

Let me tell you about a couple of ways you can support Women of the ELCA today and every day. First, become a Faithful Friend of the organization. Second, engage in the daily discipline of making a Thankoffering. Even during a global pandemic, there is always something in each day to make you aware of God’s grace and presence in your life.

This message is an excerpt from “Grace notes: Give boldly” by Linda Post Bushkofsky in the October issue of Gather magazine. Today is the Second Sunday of Christmas.
