Most years, when the Paschal full moon cooperates, Easter arrives in April. How fitting, of course, that the highest point of our church year arrives as the Earth is shaking off the dead of winter and offering new life.
Especially for those in the northern hemisphere, this month is a signal to get outside. Nature bids you to do so. Add a morning or evening walk to your day, or take your lunch outside to a park bench.
Let spring break into your soul, making you healthier and more hopeful. Let the mystery and rituals of Easter reset your faith and your life.
This message is an excerpt of “Hallelujah, an Easter reset” by Julie B. Sevig in the April 2017 issue of Gather magazine. Today is Easter Monday. The readings are Daniel 12:1-3; Psalm 16:8-11; Acts 2:14, 22b-32; Matthew 28:9-15a.
