“Read Luke 8:1-3, Judges 4:4-5 and Acts 16:13-15.
In these passages, we read of the bold women who traveled to witness to their faith in Jesus, who welcomed women so openly into discipleship. Deborah, the bold prophet, judge, and preacher, was given the power to teach others. Through her role as both weaver and faithful believer, Lydia boldly mentored others, teaching them of her own baptism and opening her home for ministry to others. These are manifestations of boldness in teaching we find and exhibit.
Questions to consider:
Bold teaching is . . .
Do you consider yourself BOLD in teaching? Why or why not?
Lord, help me to teach your word and ways by being a bold witness of your love. Remind me to follow the examples of Deborah and Lydia so that I too may preach to and mentor all I encounter. Amen.
