It’s easy for us as women to fall into the comparison game and think we’re not good enough. It’s also easy, especially for those of us who are mothers, to put everyone else’s needs before our own. But there seems to be a sweet spot between acknowledging (and celebrating) the gifts God has given us and acknowledging our limitations.
No one is meant to be or do it all. And there’s nothing wrong with feeling the satisfaction of a job well done. As the father of a friend of mine said, “Don’t forget to delight when you don’t mess up!” Today, I invite you to cut yourself some slack, celebrate the gifts God has given you, and open yourself up to God’s Spirit to use those gifts to bless others.
