If you want to see a fairly hard-and-fast rule broken, take a look at the resurrection. I’ll tell you what: Dead people are supposed to stay dead. That’s the rule. But Jesus, well, he broke that rule. The moment he did, he invited all of us into a life of rule-breaking too. Instead of being rule-followers, we are to be Christ-followers.
