Do you have 3 minutes and 11 seconds? If so, watch this new video. And, if you have time, watch it before you read the rest of the blog post.
If you responded like me, a smile has been on your face for the last 3 minutes. This video is getting attention on Facebook. I first saw it somewhere else, on a blog about church communications. (You can read what the blogger wrote, here.) At first, I did not see the connection between church communications and a remix of Mister Rogers clips. That was, until I watched it. Then, the smile overtook my face, and I felt exactly the kinds of responses that churches want to evoke in their communications. I felt gratitude, a desire to connect, and inspiration to be a better person.
More broadly, I was thinking that I want to be part of whatever is going on here — the creativity, the joy, the respect for those who came before, the willingness to try something new.
I want to be part of whatever is going on here. Isn’t that the response we want to evoke when we communicate as congregations and as Women of the ELCA?
What about you? How do you react to the video? How do you connect this experience (watching the video) to church communications — whether it is spreading the gospel or attracting new people?
