We’re continuing our yearlong leadership training focus with an online event to inspire you and the women of your unit to come together in community and plan for the future, your future. Join us this coming Saturday, September 10, at 3:00 p.m. CDT. Advance registration is required: click here to register. Invest an hour and get multiple returns all year long.
The new school year is upon us. Remember what it was like to experience new classes, teachers, and classmates? You probably felt a lot of excitement and a little fear. What’s it like now as you prepare for a new program year in your congregational unit or synodical organization? You might have some excitement about coming together again after the pandemic’s interruptions. You might also have some fear that things won’t be the same or, in the extreme, that your group won’t survive the pandemic.
Using an “open house” format, our September 10th event will take you from the auditorium to the library, to the classroom, and even to the school nurse as we help you prepare for the coming program year in Women of the ELCA. We’ll end with a 12-month planning focus that will lead you to September 2023 and our Just Love Gathering.
We’ll explore what to expect and what is required of leaders in this new time. You’ll learn about resources available and how to access them. Extra-curricular activities will be presented, including Faithful Friends, Katie’s Fund, and Raising Up Healthy Women and Girls. You’ll leave with a 12-month plan of recovery and rebuilding deeply connected to the purpose and mission of Women of the ELCA. And that 12-month plan will take us all right up to the Twelfth Triennial Convention and the Just Love Gathering in Phoenix, Ariz. in September 2023.
Register now to attend the one-hour “Back-to-school with WELCA” session this Saturday, September 10, at 3:00 p.m. CDT. Have a freshly sharpened pencil and a new notebook at hand. No singing of alma maters required.
