We always enjoy reading emails and letters (and now Facebook posts) from women who are telling the story of Women of the ELCA in their congregations and finding an enthusiastic response.
Kathleen shared our DVD, “Created in the Image of God,” with a group of seven women in her church. Word spread, and more became interested. Her church had a women’s unit, but they only met during the day, so they are now adding another circle that is meeting at a new time. All the women are very excited–adding a new circle had been a goal of theirs for a long time.
Carol was asked to see if there was any interest in forming an evening circle. So she extended an invitation through her personal contacts and other publicity around the congregation. Twenty-two women from various ages and backgrounds signed up.
A lot of women find a home in Women of the ELCA, once we share our stories invite them in. Have you shared your story with someone today? Do you want to start a unit or build the one you have? Tell your stories.
