The Associated Church Press honored two Women of the ELCA publications at its annual Best of the Christian Press Awards Banquet April 26 in Chicago. Gather picked up four awards and Café one.
“We appreciate it when our readers compliment the magazine on its articles, and when the judges agree we are doubly honored to be a part of this wonderful faith resource for women,” commented Kate Elliott, editor. “Of course, having great writers never hurts.”
Managing editor Terri Lackey agrees. “As a staff of two, Editor Kate Elliott and I are always proud when Gather comes home from ACP with writing awards because we compete with top-notch Christian magazines like Christian Century and Sojourners.”
