Advent resource explores Mary, Jesus and 1,000 days
The season of waiting, watching and wondering is almost upon us. This study explores the relatioinship between Mary and Jesus in the light of the movement to improve nutrition for women and children in the 1,000 days window. Delegates to the Eighth Triennial Convention (2011) encouraged all women to support the 1,000 Days Movement that advocates for proper nutrition from pregnancy through age 2 for children around the globe.
Women of the ELCA also offers two free Advent resources, A Different Kind of Journey: Advent as a walk, not a sprint and Advent: A Season for All Generations. Advent: A Season for All Generations is especially appropriate as women across the church are preparing for next July’s Ninth Triennial Gathering with its theme of many generations.
