The world needs your best self–the woman God created you to be, the woman from whom energy and love are overflowing and whose compassion pours forth from a joyful heart. The world does not need a tired, resentful, self-identified martyr. It needs a woman who celebrates self-love and nurtures her core.
We must check our cholesterol or go for jogs or sit in the quiet morning hours with the Word and a cup of tea. Ultimately, this inward care and kindness promotes the health of our heart and provides the assurance that life, love and service may flow freely from it.
This message is an excerpt from “Love yourself, love the world” by Leslie Klipsch in the March 2017 issue of Gather magazine. Today we remember Oscar Arnulfo Romero, bishop of El Salvador, martyr, who died in 1980.
