I never get tired of sitting by a stream and just listening as the water wanders by, bringing life with it wherever it goes. Water can be peaceful and calm and wild and severe, but it always points me to something more. It reminds me that I am small and held and connected to all things by a force I can trust but will never fully understand.
For me, being near a lake, an ocean, a river or a stream is like stepping into a sanctuary, into a church with no boundaries. It’s the presence of God in plain sight, offering life and rest.
