“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:2).
Our spiritual calling affects how we decide to use what we have, and the effects of our faith-filled generosity can be seen in our communities of faith. Paul, the author of Romans, writes that we can be transformed, and that from that transformation, we can do good in our church, society, and world. We are called as people of faith to take care of one another and to live in peace with one another. Through our giving, we have the capacity not only to change as individuals but to bring about great change around us. We all make decisions, large and small, about how and where to direct our financial resources. We can ask ourselves: What matters to me? How can I make a difference?
