“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10).
I credit the daily recitation of this verse at home and during our beautiful Sunday liturgy with helping me to live without hate. In daily interactions at work, church and social events, disagreement and discord will inevitably come up. This verse puts my focus where it should be: acceptance of others’ ideas and re-establishment of myself with God’s love and forgiveness.
