The Gospel of John begins with a poem about the Word becoming flesh and dwelling among us. What better image is there for committing whole biblical play scripts to memory and bringing them to life? This is how stories of our faith live within us: We tell them again and again, hoping to get them down so deep that when we need them they are present and helpful to us.
Please pray for the new Women of the ELCA executive board as they meet today through this evening. This message is adapted from “Casseroles of resurrection” by Liv Larson Andrews, in the July/August 2017 issue of Gather magazine.
