Mindfulness accompanies every real renewal, whether it be silence, or visual feasting or boogieing to jazz. Thought of this way, renewal does not need to wait for a liturgical season or the “right time” to be experienced. If it is practiced intentionally at least some of the time, it may come to be practiced routinely most of the time. It may even become a way of life.
