One morning it occurred to me that someone was missing from the family photo display. I thought I had included everyone. But I missed someone. Jesus. He’s an important part of my life and our family. I’m not ashamed to call Jesus my brother, the one I’ll always have.
Now it’s the end of March–almost Easter–and the crucified Jesus beckons us to turn our faces to Jerusalem. This is a painful Lenten journey. And yet I wish that I could have accompanied my brother Jesus through the misery of his last days.
In my humble way, I will do what I can to accompany Jesus, my brother and my savior, to death and then into life.
