I have come to appreciate that even insects I view as “nasty” have an important role to play in the ecosystem of God’s creation. Mosquitos and house flies serve as entrées for critters like birds, bats and frogs.
Kneeling in the garden brings me nose-to-nose with the insects who bless us. It is so easy to ignore them, but I have learned to pray for them. God created them and loves them, so I love them too. I now pay attention to these insects who play such a vital role in God’s creation.
