The Holy Spirit, our Helper and Advocate, has her fingerprints all over the messy, wonderful grace-filled process of forgiving ourselves and forgiving others. I don’t fully understand it. But over and over again, the word of God tells us that we are forgiven, and the situations of life give us opportunities to forgive.
I am relieved knowing that God can, and has, willingly forgiven me of things I can’t even speak of. Forgiveness is a surprise, waiting for you even when you are not ready. As you continue to walk with God, consider picking up the gift of God’s forgiveness for you.
