Just as life is not one-dimensional, neither is prayer. The variety of life’s experiences can stir within us different reasons to pray and different ways to pray. In the same vein, one person’s favored forms of prayer may not be another person’s. Psalm 19 gives us a range of experiences of God and reasons for communication with God. It culminates in a final verse of hope that no matter the reason for prayer or the manner of prayer, God will listen and attend.
