Throughout the gospels, Jesus gives examples of who disciples are and the work they are to carry out. The Holy Spirit gives each of us gifts that shape who we are and how we operate in the body of Christ.
Discovering or recovering your spiritual gifts and exploring how you can better use them is part of growing in faith and discipleship. Jesus, the teacher, invited the disciples to join him for the journey, and then he modeled for them seven practices that we call praying, studying, worshiping, inviting, encouraging, serving, and giving.
When we help each other identify our spiritual gifts and practice these gifts, we grow together as disciples.
