This Epiphany, let’s seek the star that hovers over the manger, which illuminates the cross. And when we get there, may God give us new eyes to see Christ as a priceless treasure. May God give us new ears to hear the good news as though our very lives depend on it, because they do. May God give us renewed hearts to minister to God’s people, following the example of the One who calls us to be light and salt.
So, let’s begin this year full of hope and expectation. All too soon, the pressures of life will creep in. We may eventually find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, apprehensive, fearful or even disillusioned. But at that point, we can turn to God’s promise – a promise that ends all promises. With new ears, eyes, and hearts, we will encounter the fullness of God’s grace and truth.
