There must be many, many ways to change the world for the better. We could make long lists and then try to narrow the list down. My list would have one request: Every child warm in the arms of a loving family. If that closeness and security leads to tears when the time for separation comes, the tears burnish the gold of childhood. May we learn sooner rather than later there is nothing more important than a hug, pat on the head, words of approval, love in season and out.
