Anyone who has been severely tested by life can lose hope in God. Most of us were taught at a young age to trust God to keep us safe. But what happens when our safety and security are shattered? Where is God? For if God could create the universe out of chaos, why doesn’t God restore order to our lives—now!
But what of those who kept faith throughout that time of tribulation? There are those who lost everything, but still give God thanks and praise. How do people do it? How do they stick with God when it appears that God has not stuck with them?
Questioning God does not mean we have lost our faith. It’s just the opposite. We challenge God because we expect God to answer, to be God and to be in control.
