As a working mom who is constantly juggling various roles, relationships, responsibilities, and expectations, there are plenty of days when I feel as though I can’t manage one more thing or keep one more plate spinning in the air. Sometimes I am just doing my best to make it through.
It’s easy for us as women to fall into the comparison game and think we’re not good enough. It’s also easy, especially, for those of us who are mothers, to put everyone else’s needs before our own. But there seems to be a sweet spot between acknowledging (and celebrating) the gifts God has given us and acknowledging our limitations. No one is meant to be or do it all. And there’s nothing wrong with feeling the satisfaction of a job well done.
Today, I invite you to cut yourself some slack, celebrate the gifts God has given you, and open yourself up to God’s Spirit to use those gifts to bless others.
