Whether we name our experience or not, we have been shattered. When we have been shattered, giving is not the first thing that comes to mind. However, giving is a powerful way to create wholeness in the face of brokenness. When we ache with loss, we can feel paralyzed. The act of giving breaks through that paralysis. It takes us outside our own loss and enlarges our hearts. And it gives us a glimpse of the wholeness that God intends for us.
