Each of us, as God’s co-creator, must take responsibility for listening for God’s guidance. No one can do that for us. And we must take responsibility for acting on that guidance as well. Imagine what the world would become if we all—every creature—truly felt like partners with God in creating heaven on earth.
Perhaps it seems prideful to think that you have a role to play in bringing about the kind of world that God truly desires. But you bear no more and no less responsibility than every other living being in the world. God desires that we all play our part in coming into our own as a co-creator with God. And once we have experienced God as loving us unconditionally, as God our Beloved, then it is only natural to want for the world, what God wants. Much as we want what is best for our children, our partners and close friends, then we must also share and act on God’s will for a just and beautiful creation.
