Have you ever heard someone say, “There goes a woman on a mission.” Generally, when someone says something like that, they have observed that the person is focused on a purposeful goal that she is striving for and nothing will stop her from achieving that goal.
Are you on a mission? Do you have an understanding of God’s call to you as a woman of faith? Women of the ELCA has an older Bible study resource, Called to be Women in Mission, that offers tools to help you understand God’s call to you, in your home, congregation, community, and world.
One purpose of the Bible study is to help us understand the fullness of God’s mission in the world. Just as women throughout history have participated in God’s mission in the world, so do we today. We listen, follow, serve, witness, take risks, and work to bring God’s peace and wholeness to the ends of the earth. To explore how you participate in the mission of God in your daily lives, download the free resource.
Gracious God, help us to share the Good News with all and be compassionate ministers of reconciliation. Amen.
