Pray for women meeting in convention this week in the Southwestern Texas and Minneapolis Area Synods.
Give thanks for all who are working to end human trafficking, abuse, and violence. 
Pray for women starting new units of Women of the ELCA, that they may become a strong community in support of one another to name and claim their ministries locally and globally.

September 29
Pray for authors: those who write devotions, Bible studies, educational materials, training manuals, joke books, novels, and more, that their efforts may be beneficial to their readers.
Give thanks for your congregation's Sunday school staff, education committee, and youth leadership.
Pray for the ambulatory and those who cannot walk, those who show you the way and those who do not see, those who listen and those who cannot hear, those who sing praises and those who have no voice.

October 6
Pray for all who encounter and suffer from violence in their lives and in the lives of those close to them.
Give thanks for women's shelters and people of vision who seek to end domestic violence.
Pray for women meeting in convention in the Eastern Washington-Idaho and Southeast Michigan Synods.

October 12
Pray for inventors, discoverers, and all who find joy in seeing the potential to be creative stewards of God's gifts.
Give thanks for bonfires, sports programs, children's laughter, music, and times together.
Pray for women meeting in convention in the Southwest California and Grand Canyon Synods.

October 19
Pray for all who struggle with health issues, especially issues related to heart health.
Give thanks for all who support the Raising Up Healthy Women and Girls initiative, for the resources available, and for the ability to see that healthy women can be healthy witnesses to God's grace.
Pray for the Women of the ELCA executive board meeting for the first time since election in July, that they may discern God's will, share wisdom, and lead the organization forward in the mission of mobilizing women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.

October 26
Pray for Women of the ELCA, that financial resources may be adequate to meet the challenges of ministry for and with women.
Give thanks for women in the global community who help us see a bigger picture.
Pray for women traveling in the Women of the ELCA global education program, that they may build community with global sisters, listen and become advocates for women and the issues they address, and grow in their ability to witness to and serve God's people.
