A voting member addresses a motion on the floor The convention is Women of the ELCA's highest legislative authority. Voting members — synodical women's organization presidents and elected delegates — will vote on proposed constitutional changes, deliberate and vote on ministry directions for the 2008–2011 triennium, elect the churchwide women's organization board, and approve the 2009 budget.

Attending the convention is free, and all are welcome to observe all convention business sessions. Please check the box on the registration form to let us know you are coming, and enclose $10 to cover the cost of convention-related materials if you would like to receive them.
