It takes a good deal of planning and decision-making to make your "Come
to the Waters" 7th Triennial Gathering memorable and a blessing on your
faith journey — starting with selection of a location. Then comes
everything from deciding the theme verse and theme and whether to offer
CEUs, developing graphics and promotional materials, training a network
of Triennial Gathering promoters, and funding the event. Decisions on
programming, exhibitors and vendors, schedule, and mementos follow.

However, "Come to the Waters" will be nothing without you. For it is the
community, the network of women in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in
America — indeed all women and girls — that will make this event
memorable and worthwhile. In learning together, building new
relationships and cementing existing ones, raising voices in praise to
God, taking part in a variety of service opportunities, and sharing our
stories that we are equipped to share God's living waters with the
world, living out our baptismal call to act boldly on our faith.
"Come to the Waters" promises to be the event of the year for women in
