Develops
the agenda, in
consultation
with others.
Leads
in the
development of
an annual
ministry plan
for the unit.
Oversees
the facilitation
of the ministry
plan and the
plan's six
features.
Prepares
(by herself or her designee)
the business
meeting place.
Presides
at unit business
meetings and at
executive or
officer
meetings.
Prepares
an annual report
to the unit and
congregation
(reports to
congregation as
this is part of
the
"life"
of a unit within
a congregation)
and synodical
women's
organization (if
such reports are
requested).
Oversees
and affirms
relationship(s)
of the unit with
any cluster or
conference
activities or
events, the
synodical
women's
organization
activities and
convention, and
the churchwide
women's
organization
(including
following the
process for
delegate
representation
at synodical
women's
organization
conventions and
election
processes for
Triennial
Convention
delegates from
the synodical
women's
organization).
Represents
Women of the
ELCA at other
local and
appropriate
ministries or
functions, or
appoints a
designee to take
her place.
Introduces
and affirms the
process for
decision-making
that allows the
unit to make the
best progress
(does not
have to be Robert's
Rules of Order).
Makes
sure that any
standing rule
that the unit
may adopt is
published and
distributed.
