Opportunity Scholarships for Lutheran Laywomen
The purpose of the Opportunity Scholarships for Lutheran Laywomen is to provide assistance to women studying for a career other than the ordained ministry. There are a number of scholarships within the Opportunity Scholarships for Lutheran Laywomen category. Please select from those listed below for further information.
An application will be considered complete once all forms have been submitted to Women of the ELCA at the address below. The following forms must be completed and returned by the deadline: February 15, 2013.
If a college transcript is required, all transcripts must be mailed to Women of the ELCA by the institution, by the deadline. (If an applicant has been out of school more than three years, disregard this requirement.)

The following forms must be mailed directly to Women of the ELCA from the individuals providing the references:
Pastors' Reference Form (If the pastor is a relative, request a reference from the chairperson or vice-chairperson of the congregation.)
Academic Reference Form (A letter of recommendation from a faculty member who has taught the applicant within the last three years; disregard if out of school more than three years.)
Personal Reference Form (A letter from someone who has knowledge of the applicant’s potential.)
