Ninth Triennial Convention

The Ninth Triennial Convention of Women of the ELCA will be held July 22-24, 2014, in Charlotte, N.C. The triennial convention is the highest legislative authority within the organization. Women are elected in each of the 64 synodical women’s organizations to serve as delegates.

Delegates and visitors are invited to participate in a Listening Event that will be held on Wednesday evening, July 23, from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Going the distance on women and justice: what does your faith say about women and justice?

What do you think the ELCA should say and teach about it? What topics and issues should the church address? How do you define women and justice? Hear about the ELCA Task Force on Women and Justice: One in Christ that is working to develop the social statement on women and justice called for by the 2009 Churchwide Assembly. Lend your voice by discussing, sharing and responding to the work of the task force.
