General ministry
Women of the ELCA is an independently-funded organization for women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Our ministries include publications (both electronic and print), resource development and distribution, and programming in the areas of discipleship, antiracism ministry, cross-cultural awareness and immersion experiences, care for creation, commercial sexual exploitation, spiritual growth, leadership development, advocacy, and more. We partner with Lutheran World Relief and the ELCA Hunger and Disaster Relief programs, and our grants program focuses on our health initiative, Raising Up Healthy Women and Girls, worldwide. In addition, Women of the ELCA gives an annual gift of more than $500,000 to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America for the ministries of the whole church and as an expression of the partnership between the ELCA and the women's organization.

Katie's Fund
This endowment fund created on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Women of the ELCA in honor of Katherine von Bora Luther helps ensure the ongoing ministries of the organization in the areas of leadership development, growth in faith, and global sharing. Thank you for your gift toward the long-term ministries of women.

Health ministry
Through your gift you support the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of women so they may better witness to the gospel. Our health initiative, Raising Up Healthy Women and Girls, includes advocacy efforts as well as education. Thank you for helping us make a difference in heart health.

Scholarships
Our scholarships programs provide assistance to laywomen of the ELCA who have had an interruption in their education, to women seeking ordination in the ELCA, and to ELCA women seeking to reach the higher levels of administration. Your contribution to the scholarships programs allows us to provide more scholarships — there's never enough money to cover the number of applicants every year — using the interest from endowed funds. Since 1988, Women of the ELCA has provided $505,000 in scholarships to 304 women in a variety of academic fields in the U.S. and around the world. Thanks for your part in making that happen.
