Our foremothers were mission-minded women. Quilting, rolling bandages, raising money to build churches, orphanages, and schools, and spreading the gospel were all part of that mission. Through these projects women were able to carry out their vision of ministry and make a
difference.
Today, in a world still filled with need because of injustice, poverty, and disasters, we must continue to heed Micah's call for us to live God's justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with our God. Lutheran World Relief calls you to show loving-kindness by sharing in its LWR Parish Projects program.
Lutheran World Relief, a stewardship partner of women's groups for more than
60 years, makes it possible for your gifts of quilts, health kits, school kits, sewing kits, layettes, and soap to reach the people who need them. The LWR Coffee Project and the LWR Handcraft Project enable you to help coffee farmers and artisans earn a fair wage for their work.
