The Triennial Convention is the highest legislative authority of the women's organization. At this gathering, delegates elect the organization's officers and executive board members for a three-year term, act on memorials and resolutions, and adopt a budget for the churchwide women's organization.

The Seventh Triennial Convention of Women of the ELCA will be held July 8–10, 2008, at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Information about a call for nominations, policy on electioneering, and so forth will be posted closer to the date of the convention.
