Regular
Offerings
provide
ongoing income
for the "core
work" and
ministries of
Women of the
ELCA: more
than 500,000
participants
living out our
purpose
statement in
7500
congregations,
600
conferences
and clusters,
64 synodical
women's
organizations,
and the
churchwide
women's
organization. |

|
These offerings, usually collected in circles, study group meetings, or general meetings, are the results of reflection, prayer, and a vision for mission and ministry. Offerings collected help meet the Women of the ELCA's
annual budget in all
these arenas.
Ultimately Regular
Offerings keep the
churchwide
expression of the
organization running
by covering
operational costs,
making possible the
development of
programs and
resources to support
women, and
connecting our
collective efforts
to the larger
church, other women
of faith, and those
in need around the
world. The column symbol reminds us that these offerings hold up the
organization. |
