About Us
Churchwide Women's Organization

The churchwide women's organization is the entire Women of the ELCA organization, which is manifested in the Triennial Convention — the highest legislative authority of Women of the ELCA — and the executive board. The strength of the churchwide organization is the impact of the community of women doing together what each cannot do alone.

The term churchwide women's organization is also used to refer to the staff and office that support the activities of the organization. In the churchwide office, located at the Lutheran Center, 8765 West Higgins Road, in Chicago, Illinois, resources are developed, the organization's three publications — Café, Interchange, and Lutheran Woman Today — are prepared, offerings are processed, and programs and events designed.
