Christmas in July in Ohio
"Christmas in July" was the theme used to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Women of the ELCA at Solomon Lutheran Church in Woodville, Ohio. The congregation was challenged to get into the Christmas spirit and open their hearts and pantries for others. Food and non-food items were collected the entire month. The collection was shared with the "Feed Your Neighborhood" program of Salem Lutheran Church in Toledo.

The goal was to receive at least 400 items — 20 items per year for 20 years — and, because of the generosity of so many people, the collection went way over their goal.
