Come to the Waters

Do your friend a favor

Women who attend a triennial gathering say it's a mountaintop experience. Give your friend this same experience. Invite her to the triennial gathering, "Come to the Waters," to share sisterhood, worship, learn, grow in faith, and give hands-on service that will make a difference in her life. Do it today with one of our e-cards. She will be inspired and — best of all — be able to relate to your passion for ministry through Women of the ELCA. It's a gift that will keep on giving in her life and yours. Point her to the gathering Web site or request a registration booklet for her today by calling Laura Barkenquast at 800-638-3522, ext. 2737.

LWR needs quilts, kits

Health kits
are prepared for shipment. Thanks to the generosity of women's groups throughout the church, Lutheran World Relief is able to provide quilts, kits, and soap to people in need around the globe. Now LWR is asking women, youth, Sunday school classes, and entire congregations to go an extra mile to help meet the current and anticipated needs in the global community, especially in Mauritania, Peru, Azerbaijan, Uganda, and Thailand.

Read more about the needs and see what you can do to support our sisters and brothers. Quilts, health kits, school kits, soap, layettes, and sewing kits are among the needs. Then drop a note to Women.ELCA@elca.org to let us know how you are responding.

In-kind gift options for "Come to the Waters"

Phone cardFrom phone cards and national retailer gift cards, to assembling health kits and quilts, these are but some of the options you have. Make your choice(s) today and continue the tradition of Women of the ELCA making a difference in people's lives.
